Mexican Hognose are one of the smallest species of Hognose Snakes in the world. They rarely reach more than 24″ in length. This sub-species of Western Hognose is found exclusively in the South West Region of the United States and Mexico. They feed on toads, small lizards, and small rodents in the wild. In captivity, we have them eating thawed Red (1-2 day old) mice.
